Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combine for 53 points as Boston withstands Golden State's 3rd-quarter rally

The Boston Celtics took a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals on Wednesday night with a 116-100 win over the Golden State Warriors. Jayson Tatum led the way for Boston with 26 points, while Jaylen Brown added 27. Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 31 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome Boston's hot shooting.

The Celtics shot 51.2% from the field, including 13-of-31 from three-point range. The Warriors shot just 40.6% from the field and 11-of-38 from three-point range.

The Celtics led by 12 points at halftime, but the Warriors came out firing in the third quarter and cut the lead to just three points. The Celtics responded with a 10-0 run to take a 13-point lead, and they never looked back.

Tatum and Brown were both outstanding in the win. Tatum scored 15 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter, while Brown added 12 of his 27 points in the third quarter.

Stephen Curry

Curry was held to just 31 points on 10-of-24 shooting. He also had seven turnovers. Curry is averaging 31.2 points per game in the playoffs, but he has struggled to find his rhythm in the Finals.

The Warriors will need Curry to play better if they want to get back in the series. Game 4 is scheduled for Friday night in Boston.
